During the actual testing of the spine implants it was noticed that new molded peek implants were failing under torsion and compression loads. Depuy Spine Inc has asked Baren-Boym Company to look into the problem. We have performed the FEA analysis on the existing implant and have found that in fact the design could not withstand the exerted loads. Baren-Boym Company has provided seventy-two designs and FEA tests to find three possible configurations that would be adequate to sustain necessary loading conditions.
